Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 September 2026

By creating an account or using Doubtshala, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you subscribe.

Your account

You must provide accurate details and keep your password confidential. One account is for one student; sharing an account or reselling access is not allowed. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Voice minutes and fair usage

Each plan includes a daily and monthly allowance of voice minutes. Minutes are counted while a session is active. When your allowance is exhausted, voice sessions pause until the next reset or until you upgrade. We may apply fair-usage limits to protect the service from automated or abnormal use.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Free, Plus and Premium plans differ in session length, voice minutes, recordings and analysis depth.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen period and renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Cancelling stops future charges; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Prices may change with prior notice; changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Doubtshala to cheat in a live exam, test or assessment.
  • Do not attempt to extract prompts, reverse engineer the service or bypass usage limits.
  • Do not upload unlawful, abusive or harmful content, or record another person without consent.
  • Do not use automated tools to generate sessions or scrape content.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

AI output

Explanations are generated by AI models and can occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. They are study support, not verified academic material or professional advice. Always verify important facts, formulas and legal or financial statements against your syllabus and textbooks. See our Disclaimer.

Content and ownership

You own your questions, recordings and transcripts. You grant us a limited licence to process them so we can run sessions and generate your notes and analysis. The platform, brand, design and mentor system remain our property.

Service availability

We aim for reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change or be discontinued as the product evolves. Planned maintenance is announced in the app when practical.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Doubtshala is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including exam outcomes, lost study time or missed opportunities. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the three months before the claim.

Termination and governing law

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Indian courts.
